Not blue

Vince said that I should dye more oranges. So the other day I dyed the complementary spectrum to my usual blues, greens and purples. And I'm glad I did.

I'm working on establishing "recipes" to recreate my yarn colourways on roving. From left to right we have Buttercup, Orange Blossom, Amber, Garnet and Royal Flush. I'm particularly fond of Garnet...

  1. Amber is pretty luscious too!

  2. I'm a huge garnet fan myself. I'm knitting Nefertiti shawl in the laceweight and February Lady sweater (with the Purple Purl knitalong gang) - both in garnet.

You can see their status in my Rav. account if you're interested.

Any thoughts to a red/black combo? T'would be amazing I bet.

  3. I would like anything in your Amber colourway, as I have it in the laceweight yarn.

  4. I gotta admit, Garnet is my favourite also. sort of looks purple-y though, what do you know? :)

  5. Just beautiful colours, Tanis! I covet them all.
