The first Year In Colour Club shipment of 2013 has been sent out and I think that I can confidently say that it's been well received! I had figured that most would be pretty excited about receiving a yummy skein of luxurious Silver Label 100% mulberry silk yarn... and paired with Julie's stunning pattern, I'd say it was a home run!
The Aerie Scarf by Julie Crawford is a beautiful, feminine, lacy scarf that makes the most of one special skein of silk. The lace patterns focused on the ends of the piece keep the knitting interesting, and the stockinette section in the middle makes for a really cozy fabric to wrap around your neck while giving you a little break from having to focus on charts!
This months Boysenberry colourway is a really pretty mix of pink, red, burgundy and purple. Just the thing to brighten up your day this frigid January!
It's never too late to join the Club! Sign up today and receive your January yarn along with the next Club shipment in March!

Stunning photo in the snow. The yarn just glows.
ReplyDeleteIt's so fun to see the pattern out there in the world! I loved knitting it, but I love knitting lace. It's like making art out of 'sticks and string'.
ReplyDeleteHaha! I love that someone other than my husband refers to knitting as playing with 'sticks and string'.
DeleteThis beautiful scarf has inspired me to want to sign up for the club (which I have only just learnt about as I am relatively new to the blogosphere). I just need to figure out how to justify buying new yarn with all the unfinished craft projects I still have on the go. Hmmm.
Gah! So, so tempted to join the club. So beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGoodness gracious, the pattern and yarn are both STUNNING.
ReplyDeleteStarting out the fiber club year with a definite bang! Yarn, colorway and pattern - beautiful all 'round.
ReplyDeleteHot damn, that's pretty. 2013's been pretty good so far, but suddenly I'm really looking forward to 2014 so I can buy this pattern!
ReplyDeleteI ADORE that color. seriously, it is so pretty!
