Is there such a thing as too much rainbow colours?

One of my favorite things about my new apartment is the fact that I can dry just dyed yarn on the balcony. The neighbours probably think I'm crazy, but what else is new?


The back of my Kureyon sock yarn cardigan is moving right along.

Last night after watching Law & Order SVU and working on this cardigan I held out an almost finished back and admired the many stripes of colours. Then Chris and I had a funny conversation:

Tanis: This cardigan is going to be extremely multicoloured isn't it? I'm going to look nuts!

Chris: Yeah, I was wondering about that, isn't that why you dye tonal colourways, so you don't have to walk around looking like a giant Christmas ornament?

He's got a point.

  1. I have done knitting while walking several times this weekend, while walking to feed neighbour cats, so my neighbours probably think I'm nuts too! If we all do this on different fronts maybe eventually all knitting-related and dyeing activity will one day seem normal.
