Here we go. Inspired by Jenna, who had amazing giveaways every Friday for a month in honour of her businesses birthday, I've decided to do a couple giveaways too. I don't have anything in particular that I'm celebrating, I just realized that I love giveaways and wanted to do one.
Today's prize is one skein of Blue label Fingering Weight Yarn in Twilight, a dark, moody navy with hints of raspberry peeking through. This is a one of a kind colourway that I don't plan on repeating any time soon. I dyed one batch of this colour a while back and while I love it, it was too close to a couple other colourways that I already have to make the cut.

Tanis,
ReplyDeleteI love the sweater, sooo cute with the little fish buttons. Your yarns are just gorgeous.
ohhh, pretty navy!
ReplyDeleteLove the colour! I'm also loving your green label in Stormy - I'm taking part in the Purple Purl's FLS KAL and was so happy to get a big bag of it!
ReplyDeleteI need more blues in my wardrobe and Laura Chau's Milkweed Shawl sprung to mind when I saw your navy fingering. (Sorry, I don't know where to put my E-mail address)

ReplyDeleteAnd the sweater is adorable...
I have a few skeins of your aran weight in garnet and am waiting for the perfect sweater pattern for it.
I love your yarn. I picked some up at Greenwood Quiltery a while back and made a graet pair of socks. I'm glad you are doing so well.

I just started a couple of weeks ago knitting a pair of socks with this yarn. It's a lace pattern and the yarn is just perfect for this! Everywhere I go, people ask about it because the colour is amazing (peacock)! I can't wait to start a new pair....elilap AT yahoo DOT com

As one who has personally seen the sweater, it is gorgeous, washes beautifully and brings out the blue in Abby's eyes. A real keeper! Michelle ?
ReplyDeletei dunno if this will still count, coming a few days later, but that is a divine shade of dark blue!! I would use that to make a swallowtail shawl with this!

I just posted an FO using your fingering weight in the Shadow colourway - sooo lovely!
ReplyDeleteI love your sense of color (and your yarn as well-- more than a couple of skeins have followed me home from the Naked Sheep in Toronto). I've been knitting a pair of socks out of Mallard recently, and I love watching the variation in the yarn come together to make such a lovely semi-solid fabric.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, my email is kslush.27 AT gmail DOT com. Thanks for doing this giveaway!
Tanis how could I resist putting myself into the hat for a draw at some of your yarn? It is a beautiful shade...my stash would make such good friends with it... (You weren't channeling Stephanie Meyer with that name, were you? ;) )
ReplyDeleteI had no idea that there was a connection between you and Jenna Rose. Beautiful textiles and beautiful wool. Enter me please.
